Poem Artwork

I talk to a computer-generated dog.

A download from the ASPCA,

I named him Rufuz cause I miss HIM so much,

And talk to him just like I did the real one,

He was quite nearly close to being my son…

I laugh at myself, doing this talking,

It’s a shame I can’t take him out walking,

Of the bear in the backwoods Rufuz was stalking,

Most of the time of me he’d be sitting and gawking…

Damn but I NEED another dog, one to love,

I cannot live alone anymore, my life doesn’t fit like a glove,

I need someone to talk to, someone who listens & does not question,

Someone to get close to and pet and brush,

.............& to keep me from feeling this overall depression…

Ed,
I hope you get another dog, dogs love unconditionally. They are a comfort and a joy, but you already know that.

Blessings+

Downsize. I love big dogs. I know you do too. Not practical where you live. Downsize. We have two small ones, may get a bigger one later. The size of the dog does not indicate its heart but the need is great for adoption of all sizes and have some fun. Patrick

Damn but I NEED another dog, one to love

Then I don't know what yer waitin for, Bro, there are only about a million homeless dogs out there right now, desperately needing help.

Volunteer at a local shelter, they all need help right now, and you'll soon fall in love with one of their adorable pooches.

Volunteer with a local rescue group, like I did. They are always looking for help, and they are always looking for more foster homes for animals that they rescue from the mean city streets and rural areas.

I think one of them out your way is called 'Rogers' Rescues' - saving each one, until there are none.

There is nothing like the unconditional love of an animal. Go get him. Be Well, CS
