She’s been around for me since I was about 15,

Now she does invite me to dinner, & keeps me lean,

I knew her family quite well,

Her boys and I did the boat thing in our teens…

Mr. C. passed about 8 years past,

Mrs. C. keeps just movin’ along,

Gone to Ireland & points south,

She will always be my friend,

As well my “second” mom to the last…

So if in your life you have a “Mrs. C.”

Treat her well as they are a dying breed,

I used, when I drank, her bathroom,

Now I just listen & take of her sage advice,

As a friend, she only wanted to see me succeed…
