My grandmother & I at about the age of 4, I was 4, NOT her...

Poem Artwork

She died when I was about 13,

A year after her husband, neither were mean,

I’d like to sit with her right now & ask,

And in her knowledge & intellect I’d bask…

Born & raised long before me,

Her memories of life I’d crave,

Was the world back then more or less brave,

Did we enjoy the beach back then & the sea…

I was, I suppose a typical early teen,

Couldn’t be bothered with her scene,

She understood back then, I’m sure,

But to be honest I don’t now,

I do know she loved me when I was four…

Grandparents know the drill, and they still love you. At 13 it's a real chore. Patrick

I could see your character developing already in the picture. Scary!

Your grandmother, on the other hand, looks very sweet.

Aw! What a sweet picture of you and your grandmother! Lovely tribute to her, Ed! I fully intend to be the kind of grandmother my little Max will always remember as fun and loving!

Great photograph, Ed. Moments like that are to treasure. There's a good reason why they call them 'GRAND' mothers! Thanks for this remembrance of fond days and kinder moments.
