I guess plans are made to be changed or broken...

Forget promises, they don't exist...

Poem Artwork

I had it all totally planned,

Oh boy it was going to be quite grand,

She would come over in the morning,

To the beach we would be going,

Then at night to the boardwalk to play,

In Wildwood, NJ, the best, what else can I say…

But of course not,

A month before, the schedule was made,

But as per usual she could not make the grade,

“I gotta work from 5 til 8", killing all plans,

Sure she could “show up”, but what is that worth,

No day out, nor night on the town,

I ain’t got much money, but what I had I wanted to spend…

We would’ve had so much fun,

But now in my normally reclusive state,

I guess I will do all this by myself,

I doubt our relationship will ever change,

This seems to be our combined fate…

            …Her loss…

I guess I will do all this by myself

I did everything by myself, for many years. And these days, when Mean Tall Woman is just too busy, I usually do them with my dogs!

Ed, From the voice of experience...... she's either worth the torment she puts you through, or she's not. If she's worth it, find a way to work it out, if she isn't,,,,, tell her so and move on.

That same voice also says that the best chance of "working it out" rests with private conversations with her, not by sharing your thoughts with your Denmates. Dick

Ed,
I know how you feel, sorry she couldn't make it but it sounds like it couldn't be helped. Maybe next time....

Blessings,

If this happens 99% of the time....you're wasting your time....There's someone out there for you, Ed, but it doesn't appear to be her....

I think in any relationship we always know what's going to happen because of our subconscious minds. If we think it will work, we would will it to work no matter what. The scale of love has to be balanced on both sides to make it work. Like a card game, we always know when to fold. It's sad when that happens, but that's life. I wish you good luvk with everything.

Relationships can indeed be very complicated at times. I have been hugely fortunate to have met someone (three months now). I always knew there were angels out there (they've saved me many times from certain disaster); I just never thought I'd actually be with one in real life. I don't know your relationship situation; if I were you, I would look at all the positive aspects (hopefully there are some) and focus on that. Just my thoughts, bro. Love and best wishes to you,

Regis

Right now I'd be happy with such a relationship, but after all I'm an old man. Dump her.

Okay I appreciate all reviews, but when someone does this relatively regularly...like 99% of the time, am I being SO inflexible...the only reason someone comes over here to see me is that she is guilty, then I get a visit whether I want it or not...just being factual here, sorry...

Yea buddy I have to agree with the last two reviewers, sounds like you are being kind of inflexible. If she is working and you are not than the operative word in this whole thing is schedule....and what works best when it comes to two people...rescheduling when one can't make it.

Damn, man, if she had to work, she had to work. Lighten up. None of my business really, except that you put it out here on the Internet for all to see and comment.
