From a dream she did come to me…

Poem Artwork

From a dream she came with me,

Both screaming in unison,

The world blotted out,

Our breathing heavy,

My pounding had clout…

We were quite young,

Sixteen if we were a day,

We climbed the lighthouse ladder,

Rung by rung,

On the open top deck we consummated,

It made us feel dirty, doing so in the middle of the day…

Our bodies both writhing in pleasure,

At the time she was my treasure,

Not long after though she was up there again,

With someone else, I felt so much displeasure,

It was then night, so I turned on the light,

Arrested they were, they both got their measure…

Like the part where you felt "dirty." I always felt, "great."

I knew it - that was our neighbor's old collie Betty. I remember how they cried when she got arrested for climbin that old lighthouse.
And I think right after that was when they finally got her fixed. (And I sure hope Ma doesn't read this one.)
