Poem Artwork

Oh how I wish I could intellectually write,

Instead I am primarily stuck in a humorous blight,

I want to put words together with meaning,

Allowing others to read me and see a light…

Instead I write of the funny of life side,

Talking of the enjoyability in life’s slide,

While I leave to others with more brains than I,

To speak of the logic & intellect that I can’t even buy…

Am I a philosopher,

Am I even a poet,

Am I a naturalist,

Or am I just a humorist,

I do write with rhyme,

And yes, as a poet, I do know it…J

You have the ability to bring smiles...and I, for one, truly appreciate your contributions! I like to read things that don't require pondering to figure out the meaning....thanks Ed!

My way of sharing "humor" through writing is by composing limericks. There is a great need for humor and smiles, Ed; thank you for providing that via your verses. Love and peace to you,

Regis

There's a fellow from Jersey named Ed,
Who would like to be known as well-read;
Little does he know,
That come rain, sleet, or snow,
His verses are our butter and bread.
