Midnight toke...

A long ago picture of me,
You can tell,
No beard, no gray & I look like burned out hell...

Is upon us,

Can’t go anywhere,

Missed the bus,

Have to sit here and at the computer stare…

 

Took a couple of hits,

Had some fruit cocktail,

Hope I don’t get the sh**s,

Fruit does that to me,

Especially when they are stale…

 

Like a late night buzz,

Helps me to sleep,

I do what I do cause I does,

I like to write when high,

I seem to think more deep,

When high I do fly...

The key word in all this is, “seem.” What has the appearance of deep thinking really is quite shallow and usually repetitive.
