On oceans edge, Too...

Poem Artwork

 

Laying out sprawled,

Along the ocean’s edge,

Awaiting the waves,

To cover our nubile young bodies,

Long before we go to our graves…

 

Getting all soaking wet,

Then running up & diving in the soft hot sand,

Covering our bodies with the grit,

Then repeating the process,

A very good bet…

 

Playing frisbee,

Saving shells,

Laughing at oldsters,

Building sand castles,

Living so far from life’s hassles…

Ed, God bless you for revising "On Ocean's Edge;" I have the greatest respect for you.
This one is a fun poem... The references to your "nubile young bodies" and then "Laughing at oldsters" gives it a touch of sad reminiscence.
I love the 2 ending lines, "Building sand castles, Living so far from life's hassles...
