Poem Artwork

Four years ago today,

I sort of took a short vaca,

No plans were made,

No bags were packed,

No airplanes trains or buses used,

Though an ambulance I didn’t lack,

I remember nothing of that day,

But have been told a great deal,

I must have eaten, of sugar, a BIG assed meal…

Am I now the worse for wear,

For a while I couldn’t walk anywhere,

Driving as well was a non-issue,

My life sucked, but at the time I didn’t care,

But before you get all sniffly and pull out a tissue,

Realize that I came back supposedly from the dead,

And here I sit and write about the experience,

Though I have no memory or a clue,

My brain from that day & the next eight, mostly dead…

Your brain was being kind to you, keeping you from all the pain that your body was experiencing. It's a lifesaver and you're living proof.

Not as unusual as you think. Happens almost every day to someone. God had other plans for you,

Four years ago already; where does the time go? It seems like only a short time since dear old Brother Edvard was looking everywhere for you, and he himself is gone nearly three years now. Keep On Keepin On, and Go For That Walk In Nature.
