To think too much is to be sad…

I need a switch to turn off my thinking processes...

Poem Artwork

To lie in the dark and think,
Can bring to one a personal stink,
Maybe it’s just my brains synapses firing,
Well that is to what I am at least aspiring…

Life, reality, reason, common sense,
Do these words have any meaning,
Or are they where they are to make me tense,
Should on them I think for the future forth hence,
Or let them live still in the dark of my mind, cleaning…

To stare at old pictures of old times,
Is it good to remember or is that a crime,
On my wall of old pictures totaling nine,
A dream catcher, a surfboard clock, a pic of my dad,
All these pictures though just seem to make me sad…

Perhaps with Christmas coming and the New Year. Memories are sparked.

Always,

Thinking a lot can probably make us sad. You need to get out and try to get involved in some activities that will take your mind away from just sitting there staring at the pictures and thinking. Break out from the prison of being alone all the time and I think you will cure your sadness.

Life is a roller coaster
There's ups and downs.
You can over think things,
turning your brain around.
But what we hang on our walls,
are memories to be found.

I have had to let them go. Enough bad memories without the reminders that I am still trying to cleanse. Good write; made me think about thinking.

When you're sad Ed, just start to think of all the blessings you have, and reflect back on things that went right in your life.

If old pictures make you sad, go for a long walk and take some new pictures - walking in the woods is always marvelous for me - never know what I might see...(Saw some gorgeous deer and a red fox yesterday.)
