...FICTIONAL...?

His life changed its course at four,
Hadn’t had time yet to learn the score,
He did sneak out of his childhood house,
He did so very quietly, like a little mouse…

He did to the north end of his little town walk,
Then to the south end he did then head,
He only made it a block back past his own home,
There he met his future; never for a long time after did he again roam…

He met two boys of sixteen.
They did treat him that day oh so mean,
They made him do despicable things,
They said they were going to make him their queen,
He did what he was told; afterwards he was unable to hold his bowels…

He cried in pain & bled for days on end,
The offending two went to court,
Fifty dollar fine is what they got,
A slap on the wrist their only lot,
The four year olds life direction changed that day,
He could have had greater abilities,
Instead he grew old & now lives on disability…

Whether this be fiction or not it is sad....even more sadder
it is still happening. It changes your life for it never
leaves your conscience.

Always,

Deborah

There was a big case in the UK some years back just like this. The only difference that the youngster actually died. The teenagers in question were sentenced to prison but only until they reached adulthood. then they were given new identities and new lives. How can that be right!
Justice is a joke!

For some, this is not fiction…

Fortunately, I never knew anyone personally that this happened to. Well, not that anyone admitted to me. My only fear from 16-year-olds was getting beat up. My best defense was retreat. I always was very fast runner and no one could ever catch me.

One time at camp when I was about 11, four or five guys (most bigger) decided they were going to, "strip," me. I easily threw them all off with strength I never knew I had, punched one guy hard in the stomach so that he doubled over in pain, and left the cabin. They never messed with me again.

Oh, so upsetting, and unfortunately not an unusual story. I know of others and it is hard to overcome.
