Poem Artwork

Yes she was my hot little baby,
Was I gonna get to keep her, well maybe,
Same color combination as the photo,
When I got it I went totally nuts, yeah loco…

I put a couple of thousand miles on her in the first week,
Just to look at her sitting in front of my house made me weak,
Everybody loved her color with the white stripe made it tweak,
But through police radar or visual inspections I could not sneak…

A friend of mine & I went out on Saturday night,
Bought some beer and southern comfort, planned to drink till light,
On my way home I encountered a tight curve,
Through three trees I totaled her; she was an awful sight…

Why do men always total their favorite car?

Always,

... That's what hot love does to a man; sends him round the bend and turns him into a wreck! Quite a fling while it lasted, though. Glad you sound to be more dented about the car than damaged yourself, though, so all good. xx

She was red hot and sexy,
pretty as a picture on a post card.
Then she got totaled,
and ended up in the junk yard.

I totaled one myself.
Did you have a memorial for her?

I can totally relate and feel your pain. All my cars survived their wrecks quite well with repairs except one. I still regret rolling that 35 Ford three window coupe with the Cadillac engine that my brother and I picked up for 100 bucks and spent a year and a half cleaning up and getting roadworthy. What a waste.

Your baby was a beauty, a bit like my 73 black Monte Carlo that everyone envied so much as it took me to work every day and countless trips over 300,000 miles in 20 years. They don't make them like that anymore (they make them better). Some will argue with me about that…

Southern Comfort is enough to get you drunk. Sure was a beauty and it took some crash to total that baby. Lucky you were ok.

Hah! Shit happens. That curve wasn't so tight, it was the driver who was tight.
