We’ve come to know each other,
Friends were our mothers,
We went to grade school together,
Our friendship never did sever…

School we did enjoy for sure,
We may not have been rich,
But nor were we ever poor,
Time was spent in each other’s company,
I’ve lusted after her with a great amount of gluttony…

Eventually we did become as soulmates one,
While we were children we had great amounts of fun,
We did lose each other for a modicum of time,
I have felt for her throughout most sublime,
To find her I went through a mountainous climb…

Her light did start on eighty-third,
Like that of a light house she shone,
She did only get brighter as she’d grown,
For her throughout her existence, my loins stirred…

So your loins stirred with anticipation of 83rd. Now that's a strange fetish.

Seriously, it is obvious, and very fortunate, that you have her in your life to light the way… Especially since you been through some dark times needing that kind of light.

Excellent poetry this morning Ed. Some light shine for the moment and then fade, and then there are those like "The Light on 83rd" which never fades.

There is a lovely story within this poem. I love the line, "To find her I went through a mountainous climb…". She must be very special!

Love ya!

Jane
