Please God, take good care of my friend till I can see him again, I hope

Poem Artwork

My best friend, Gene, did pass away,
I am not sure what else I can say,
I’ve been sitting her for a while crying,
In all honesty about that I am not lying…

I don’t like this feeling,
My mind is surely reeling,
So many good memories going through my head,
But they don’t help the flow of tears, my eyes from turning red…

Writing for me has been an escape,
It’s helped to keep me in a semblance of mental shape,
With God at this moment I am quite pissed,
He took my friend who now I must miss…

My first wife was my best friend for many years.
I never experienced such emotion and such a trail of tears.
I was pissed at her folks for not believing in her success.
They put her down until the end and always gave their son the best!
He was no angel that's for sure, but it was sadder than sad in the end.
There I was all alone to raise two kids and without my BEST friend. Amen
I feel for ya Ed. Please do not blame God what the devil takes away.

May the anger you feel at this time be turned into memories of all the good times.

I am sorry for your loss, Ed. I extend my sympathy. I am familiar with losing a friend quite recently (as you know). Love, peace, and healing to you.

Grief is a saddening thing and one feels lost and confused but grieving is what keeps one sane! This too shall pass...

Always,

I lost my best friend 14 yrs. ago, and there's not a day that goes be, that I don't miss him.. When I was a kid, an old timer once told me that when your young, you go to birthdays and weddings. When you get older, that changes and you go to funerals. How well I know the feeling.

We all go sometime. It's not fair the way it happens. It just happens that way and we must accept it and move on.

I am so sorry for your loss. I know it's hard and the sorrow so great but time heals, Ed ... It's only a temporary separation and you will see your best friend again some day ... take care, Ed.

Sad, it's true but none of us get out of this alive. You are a good and caring person, Ed. The pain eases up but there will always be that special place in your heart for him.

Love ya!

Jane
