Comforted in Her caressing fingers...

Poem Artwork

Me & mom ocean did today talk,
While in her caressing fingers I did walk,
She was calm today, no anger,
Only today did she show languor…

Of many subjects did we discuss,
She showed me this day no muss, no fuss,
Good conversation is what I did seek,
She gave it to me while stroking my cheeks…

I told her I wanted to come home,
To dwell again at a deep depth,
I was so tired to be amongst men & roam,
She, as usual, did calm my aching breath…

I live for the day to return to her bosom,
She told me all things come in time,
She wants me to enjoy this life,
Tis’ hard though in this world of constant strife.

I can relate to your love of the ocean Ed, I love it too, and wish I could visit, but seems no go this summer, everyone too busy to take me there.

The beach is God's therapy for our reflection for our life on earth. Your poem expressed this relationship very well. JMD

I met the ocean when I was in CA. beautiful it was and the crashing of waves in the distance at night, actually put me to sleep. I love your poem!

Always,

Sure glad that the seashore always gives you calm. As for me, any dip for me in mother ocean would end up very quickly in Davy Jones Locker. And, the mere sun and wind on the beach can be detrimental, not to mention getting stuck in my wheelchair in the sand. So I won't mentioned it. ;-)

Happy sea shoring to you… May you visit often.

Messengers on the ocean breezes. I've known their presence, and the comfort and wisdom they impart. There are two places I find the greatest focus and comfort; along the shores of the ocean and in the high mountain woods. Both are saturated with negative ions. You are maturing as a poet, bubba. Peace to you... rlc

This is quite a special poem, Ed. I can relate to it sans Mom Ocean.
