I hope that Santa did receive my note,
It was really long & deep as a moat,
And I did truly of it wrote,
As mommy & daddy were busy milking the goat…

I sent it out with plenty of time,
Way back in the middle of summer,
I put many stamps on it so it had to get there,
If it didn’t make it surely would be a bummer…

I asked for stuff for mom & dad,
Every other Christmas they seem to end it sad,
As well I asked for world peace,
And for all the political fighting to cease…

I didn’t ask for too much for me,
Just that I get to go more next summer to the sea,
And maybe we can find a beach somewhere that’s free,
Oh, and I wished for everyone to get a Merry Christmas too, see?
