B B King is definitely the King of blues...

Poem Artwork

You might call it a dance,

Some might think of it as an alternative stance,

But I do call it a bluesy walk,

While listening to the King himself talk…

He speaks of his old guitar,

Lucille is surely bizarre,

She speaks for herself,

And tells us all the best about her King…

The blues sound is all I can hear,

The talk is all I can bear,

It came from a special somewhere,

Through life it does for me steer.

When I was a teenager & a young adult and would listen to the Blues, B.B. King was one of my favorites....I remember very well when he would talk about his "Lucille"....

A fine tribute to one of the greatest blues musicians of all time.
God bless his soul. He gave us more music than a lifetime can hold.
Well said Ed!

I am not especially a blues fan but might become one after reading your poem.
