A little like a Shepard,
A lot like a collie,
Loyalty & love of both breeds,
Sure he is a mutt,
But…
When he is called, he comes without hesitation,
When he is told to do his business, he does so, with a little prodding,
When I say his name or NO,
He does not attempt to run away or go.
I can walk with him without a leash,
And he stays where he is told,
Not sure if this will still be the case when he gets old?
But for now, we have a great doggie,
True, loyal, playful & loving, more so than any other I have seen,
All the things he was NOT when first we adopted him,
He was downright unfriendly then,
But with love and little discipline,
Rufuz has grown to be quite the wonderful doggie.
He loves to play with kids,
Chasing them all day long if he gets too,
Afterwards he sleeps for two days,
But he is getting older, like his dad,
But that’s not really that bad.
He is so smart sometimes that we are taken aback,
He taught himself to catch the ball,
And now he is learning to catch the Frisbee,
Where he learns this from is beyond me,
As I did not teach him any of this,
It just came along free.
Enough of singing the praises of Rufuz, the Ruthless Dufuz,
But it is so hard not to, as he is the greatest dog on earth,
for us…
