about life in general.

Poem Artwork

I think of things daily,
That are really reality,
Sometimes that is,
Mostly some are dreams,
It isn't always like it seems.

I love to travel, and take vacations.
It's always a nice get away from negotiations.
I think of my friends i've made over the years.
Sometimes that thinking can bring lots of tears.

It's a daily occurence to me.
To kind of want to be free.
I hang in there, mostly by myself.
Who am I kidding, it's always only me.

Thinking takes my mind off of things not nice.
I like to have a dinner of rice.
I made Hershey Bar cookies this year.
That's all i got done, and I fear.
I'll be lazier than ever this year.

I could go on and on about thinking.
My mind is clear and I'm not drinking>
Spent Christmas Day with the family, nice.
But I had a bad time of it before that night.

I'll say cheers to you all.
Maybe thinking will be your thing too.
It's wonderful to read poems on here.
I'll be with you all throughout the year.

You may think so, Lois!
But you are not alone
because the Lord is with you!

This is such a revealing poetical rendering here, Lois. It is good to drop all your barriers and just say it like it is. I take from the seemingly honest write here that you did just that.
