It is the meanest enemy of true love!

Jealousy

Hearing a young couple fussing
because one suffered jealousy
takes me back to our earlier days
Ignoring that each of us had been
living a life without the other
we were jealous beyond reason
often letting it be known nastily
Being jealous is a no-brainer
one that brings no good return
a simple fact being that should
one suspect unfaithfulness in the
other there is no sensible way
of making the accusation and
dealing with the horrible results
Loving persons would do better
working on how to please their
mate or lover with what builds
faith and devotion in a livable
relationship and to remember
that true love is more
than romantic and
deeper than sensual
It is the unyielding
acceptance of
all that is
all that has been
all that will be
and all that cannot be
