My youth long since dissolved into
fast moving maturity of middle age
warning me frequently about
a malady by the name of old age
Not me I boast - enjoying guesses of
decades younger than actual age
Eventually the body lets me know
explaining how years remaining
enforce limits on this or that in
warnings designed for ancients
Horse manure - I shout keeping
pace with others who challenge
Admitting to four score and more
I want to see youth ease up on
those in the sixties, which is
not yet old altough some retire
Grow up I demand - care for your
bodies to reach 100 plus a few
Ah yes the 'age' is not about a number.. it is about attitude! Granted some seem to be more blessed with good health while others through no fault of their own find themselves blindsided by body failures but even they will tell you it is about the 'A' word.. attitude.
