Flowers For You

A walk in the woods
during late spring
always brings you back

Your knowledge of
wild flowers amazed
me almost as much
as their brilliant beauty

My inadequacy never
interfered with my
appreciation of great
wild flower displays
always free to those
who walk in woods

I recall too that on
rare occasions I was
allowed to uproot one
to transplant at home

And your love for
wild flowers assured
its long life out there
with others in a rare
back yard of beauty

A beautiful and tender write my friend, reminds me of my mom, she seems to know every wild flower, bush and tree by name. She was always known for transplanting beautiful flowers that many said would not grow outside their original home...but they always seemed to flourish when she planted them. Loved this my friend...touched my heart in a special way! Write on dear poet!
Blessings from Ky.

Nature becomes even MORE beautiful and generous with its secret, hidden depths when unveiled to us by a skilled connoisseur, William. My mother has supplied generations of us family with clumps of the most vigorous snowdrops you ever did see... all lifted from some woods nearby absolutely donkeys' years ago. Love the tenderness in this. :)) xx
