The truth is truth no matter what, the truth is evident
the twist or turn of its existence does not the truth prevent
plain as day, in purity, a light still shining fair,
regardless how we wish it not or try to thus impair
its honest might, its simple face, its telling of our wrongs,
the truth is truth no matter what and hails the only throne.
Without exemption or remorse you can not claim it, no
It is itself without a shade, a master or control
dancing in the minds of men, it seeds them their demise
when they toy around its way and shape it into lies
that woo them, win them vanity, accomplishment or hold,
of the very thing they sought to hide, destroy, or mold.
It hails us ever to its safety, to keep our minds and souls
gently in its strength to be as we live and grow
menacing to enemies who rush to hide its crudeness
ready always to announce the fault of all the foolish
bent on keeping to themselves the wrong they never righted
always willing to bring sight to those who chose while blinded.
The truth is truth no matter what the truth is evident
your ways, your words, your might made right, will not the truth prevent.
Bigger in the scheme of things than you might believe
because your oversight was based on what you would receive
from the detriment you bred with the cheat you gave
the truth will always live and breathe to stare us in the face
some full frontal, some in distance, giving chance to change
before we vanish with the lies that gave us our own way.
