When I woke up this morning
I felt real good within myself
I know I can shake the world
by being just who I am
no fears or anxities I hold
I am unperturbed by life
nothing can rattle my cage
because honesty is the name of my game
if you can't accept me for what I am
then you have no right
to call me your friend
I can see right through your wiles and schemes
as you practise your lip service
to fool and beguile
and I just shake the dust off my shoes
when you come creeping round my door
voicing your duplicitous views
I don't need your glib platitudes
I know where it is at
nobody holds the divine right
to truth or contemplation
take that sick smile off your gilded face
as you profess your egotistical opinions
I detest how you try to sucker people in
as your heart flatlines with deceit
you claim you have a monopoly of what it is about
then how come you have come up short
and your philosophy is full of shots
well this guy is not buying it
I've seen your type before
you come on strong in the morning
and before nightfall you are a has been
well too bad, you blew it big time

How many people in the world sell out their own self to others in order to be "accepted"? "loved"? "cherished"? "honored"?
The entire lives of innocent people twisted by a person who stirs their emotions to feverish pitches only to serve some unresolved issue inside themselves to gain a place of power in their own self-lacking soul. Of course the cross fire question is how often do we persoanlly do that very same thing to others?
Judgement comes in many forms; self should be the first one judged.
That is where freedom is found. Inside of self "freestyling the way".
Great composition leads to deep introspection.
