I'm heading back to Georgia
where I left my heart in residence
those rolling green hills I adore,
and the fireflies all aglow
rocking on my back porch
in the Peach State of the USA
Savannah is a calling
and the Mississippi is rolling along
and I am at my happiest
with Dixieland on my mind
sojourning in beautiful Augusta
warm Southern nights so alive
made my way back to Macon
with only you in my sights
we whooped and hollered in Atlanta,
and shared good times in Cleveland
on the Trail of Tears across the State,
we prayed and bonded with Great Spirit
and when Johnny comes marching home again
we'll raise a cheer for fallen heroes
and send that Sherman straight back to hell
we' ll sing and dance, to the Deep South blues
and dine on crawfish and gumbo
and give a toast to Martin Luther King
and God bless you Mr President Carter
for on those Blue Ridge mountains in my soul
the rising sun will always shine

What a great moodsetter and write, Peter, to keep Georgia on our minds!
Travel safely and have a grand time! The LORD go with you..
[I have to tell you, CCR brought back so many memories! I used to sit out on our back porch with half the neighborhood, as I played this song on my guitar - of course, all the children loved the tambourines&elephants and the do-do-do!]
Really great package!
Love&Prayers, Rhonda

And you've penned quite an Ode to Georgia here, Peter. And Lookin Out My Backdoor ain't a bad tune either!
Come on over...you'll be spoiled rotten"...as my granny would say.
love and harmony from Dixie,
