this is a dream I had last night...the images I remember are flighty at best, but it was such a beautiful dream that I had to try (I'd like to have one of those dream analyzers get their hands on this one LOL)
Moonlight twinkles on the ground Blinking stars peep out to play Stirring breezes make no sound The leaves have naught to say Faery wings shine silver blue The sprite darts through the trees Her dragon lover, proud and true Lies in wait on bended knees In elven form they play their dance By the lake of midnight blue This night they've found their only chance To act on love found new Forbidden tryst under stars and moon Forbidden love given no measure The sun shall cast her rays too soon This moment must last forever Faery wings shine silver blue The sprite must run away Her dragon lover, proud and true Never said what he meant to say.
Hi Danielle. Good to 'see' you. Charming poem. The sprite with wings of silver blue may suggest spirituality. The dragon lover may suggest power. The midnight blue lake may suggest your subconcious mind. The sprite runs from the dragon...you may be having difficulty reconciling your spirituality with your personal power or need for power. This can be done! Maybe in your heart you feel the two are opposites and cannot be combined for good. Your mind is working out the details in your dream. Am I close?

Very good....as most of your pieces are. Being somewhat of a fantasy fan, I really enjoyed the images invoked by your words.
So rich in imagery Danielle! It is a beautiful dream/poemwell written, but like so many unfulfilled, as "the lover never said what he meant to say"
