Poem Artwork

naked in the rain I wash my soul

shivers as if in beads of morning dew

rinse softly neath the gentle moonlight

I babare soul to the Northwind

I walk where hearts grow cold

into the barren waste of night

sins are open to the Gods

hearts possessed now lost

withered by the lack of will to fight

skin peeled back and bleeding

rain frozen now in death grip

who can say if this is right

hickory dickory dock

the heart forgot the clock

the clock struck home

I’ve been left to roam

hickory, dickory dock

What a wonderful depiction of a "mood" that comes to us sometimes, either triggered by an event or a memory. The theme is universal, though the poem may have been inspired by personal happenings.

Oh, Fee. You sound. . .depressed? "naked in the rain" conveys the mood perfectly. Chills a n d draws. Cold's in my bones, and I
feel the peeling. . .better not read it again 'til later. Now go inside and put on your woolies and a nice, warm pair of slippers.
Then write to me and tell me you are All Better. Love ya!
'Pea' <3 ~~~ PS: Thank you so much for being so supportive. Means the world! ~~~PS2~~What I forgot. Don't understand "nse." Am I
being dense? Wouldn't doubt it.

Geez, I'd have to go along with Susan -- this poem really makes you think, and it does give new meaning to being bare to the bone. Sexy picture to go with it, you devil you! Very nice poem, Fee.

CJ

Our heart is exposed when it is broken, and like a clock that's lost its hands it just ticks on endllessy no longer fulfilling its purpose.

When the heart is forlorned the travel takes us all into a naked rain. I don't think I've ever realized this mood before but it sure grasps at the meaning of being bared to the bone.
Love,
Susn
