Lost Beneath The Covers

By: Fee

I reached for you again last night

Beneath the heated covers of desire

I was hoping for just a little warmth

From those lost passion’s unlit fire

Maybe tender touches, tender kisses

I wasn’t asking for the moon above

Just a little bit of what we once had

When beneath the covers we had love

I finally rolled away into my shell

Wiped the teardrops best not shared

Tomorrow’s just another empty day

Wishing love, somehow you still cared!

OUCH! I saw the tears fall!
I remember being in this SAME place, and my heart beating wild and not knowing how to make it STOP!
Follow your heart and don't go down trying - It takes TWO!
and you deserve so much more!
Sorry! If this is not what you expected to hear/see, but I speak it bluntly my friend! I wish you happiness AGAIN!
Great SAD poem Sweetie!
So glad I didn't miss this beautiful sad life/relationship poem!

Lovers sleeping together as strangers. I think this happens far too much in the world. Relationships are rollercoasters but sometimes the thrill disappears. Very touching! -Sheila

Fee, Once upon a time I was there just like you, I decided to leave that empty bed, and become happy and peaceful inside of my soul. Tis better to be alone than to be so unloved.
Peace, love, and light,

Love some times can be like trying to hold bare handed an electric eel, you wouldn be able to keep and get a shock in the process.
Well done.

Universal feelings of the emotional roller coaster of relationships.
Just the right words.
(Isn't the girl in the picture too young forthe "role"?)

Anyway, sad/lovely poem.

I remember those exact same feelings when I was married to my first husband. You wrote the sadness that envelopes a person who is in this situation with remarkable insight.

God bless you. Kathy

Beautifully expressed yearnings
And desire for passion, but lover's touch no longer
Ignites the fire!

Sad write of wanting what one does not have because of a heart-break and a lose. Very painful reflection here, but written so well.

You make me want to be in the cold snuggling under the covers fee, Here I kick them off as it gets too warm. I felt a melancholy yearning that goes into a longing that is painful. You always get your passions worth Fee.
Love,
Susan
