A Taste of Heaven
By: Fee
On the beach I first touched Heaven
Held her in my arms one night
As the stars above lit up the sky
The moon glowed a pearly white
Shivers from our midnight swim
Sitting by a smoking driftwood fire
Heaven whispering in my ears
Oh so sweet like a Baptist choir
Held her close, stroked her beauty
On that picnic blanket on the sand
Heavenly was Heaven’s soft touch
Softly I kissed her tender hand
I made love to my sweet Heaven
That summer of bittersweet sorrow
Tears of bliss our cheeks did wash
No thought of the parting of the morrow
That night a gift the taste of Heaven
A gift a lifetime couldn’t erase
For in times of sadness I close my eyes
To recall the love on Heaven’s face…
Ok you've got another fan,
it's really good to read another poet that
uses Rhyme and metre to such good effect,

Your Words Are That Of A True Romantic Poet.
& Yes I Agree The Beaches & Oceans are indeed an ambiance for Romanticism, as are the depths of the woods & the heights of the Mountains. Beautiful Write
