And a true story I’ll relate

Of how I met my first true love

On a most unusual date

‘Twas in the early spring of sixty five

On the shores of Lake Bra Dor

A sight so wonderous to behold

That it will haunt me forever more

Aye she was a beauty I tell you boys

One such as she you’d not soon forget

She lay naked at the high water line

Her bare white skin still pearly wet

I knelt down to have a closer look

At this beauty on a seaweed bed of jaded green

I swear my heart was forever stolen there

She was like nothing I had ever seen

I brushed a clamshell from her hair

Then her eyes opened with a smile so sweet

Rich dark chocolate eyes that stole my soul

She swept me off my very feet

Her lips were sweet and tender dreams

Ah they were just waiting to come true

Her soft skin was the colour of ivory

Now if you was me what would you do

Below her waist and her heavenly breasts

I swear I saw glittered scales parting too

Before I had a chance to explore any further

She kissed my panting lips ‘tis true

Her lips tasted a little of the salt brine

Not very unpleasant I might add

In fact it was the finest kiss

That I had ever had

We made love there on the sandy beach

And she warbled her name was Essircym

And boys right then I would have went out

and married her just on a whim

All day we made love on that beach

Till I was so tired I could not barely stand

Then when the moon came out to say hello

I began to finally understand

I saw her one last time when the waves she turned

She blew to me one final kiss on the wind of time

Then dipped and swam below the sea

I knew then that she’d be forever mine

Oh scoff if ye want I’m used to that

But I swear on me grave it’s true

Essircym will again meet me there and one day

With the last tide we’ll leave to forever dwell
