And what shall I do this autumn morning? swim in the river where the hawthorns glow? wander the pathway where the willows grow? or read my fortune in the golden, whirling, leaves? And what shall I do this autumn day? shall I gather ripe pears by the orchard stile? or ramble my way on the valley mile? or write love letters in the golden, whirling, leaves? And what shall I do this autumn night? shall I watch the stars as they dapple the skies? or read my future in my true love's eyes? or stir love songs from the moonlit, coverlet leaves? swim in the river where the hawthorns glow? wander the pathway where the willows grow? or read my fortune in the golden, whirling, leaves?
