Ok I’m a very bad Clay boy this I know
But the withdrawal is going so very slow
The old Gumby seems to have gone on a sabbatical
Leaving this one who is a bit more maniacal

No great stories of adventure and fame
Just some emotions most would find lame
It is not  entirely my fault you see
But something to do with failed destiny

Just like the other day when I ventured outside
Breaking the seal on the crypt where I hide

I was on my way to Barnes and Noble
When my emotions went off like Chernobyl
There by the door to the book dormitory
Was a girl with Dark hair and the same auditory

My little heart rocketed to the moon
Thinking a miracle entered my gloom
Thoughts of holding and never letting go
Rushed through me like a wide eyed doe

I leaped to the door with lighting speed
Before the lovely vision began to recede
I was met with a wall of tempered glass
And fell back on my big fat a..

The next thing I knew the ambulance arrived
Carrying me away from whom my love thrived
Flailing my arms in desperation
I tried to explain my situation

Belts and a straightjacket soon appeared
When all of a sudden the vehicle veered
My stretcher flew out the door
Heading once more to the one I adore

I crashed through the front window display
Only to find her gone to my ultimate dismay
Maybe they were right to call me insane
Cause I seem to see her in every windowpane

I see her in clouds in the sky
in the Faces of people passing by
In movies of impossible odds
even in broken mirror shards

Could it all be a creation of the mind
Seeking that which the heart wants to find
Others look at me with a mother hen’s pity
Just because I still believe in Serendipity
