Burning pits of hell surround him
his kingdom now claimed.
he is master of the vile and disfigured
commanding unspeakable tortures
on poor withered souls.

There is no beauty in this land of sorrows.
only the phantoms of yesterday
when his love was newly fulfilled

She was like no other
a broken petal he swore to heal.
she came to him doubtful
weary to begin anew.

But he a silver tongued devil.
swore to God he'd heal her broken heart.
he promised never to hurt or scorn.
his pursuit was relentless
and finally she gave in.

At first he kept that promise
and her love for him grew.
she gave herself to him with no restriction
she became lost in his yearnings.

At the peak of their unity
he wandered, betraying
all that he promised.
but Hey he was a man
and that was ok.

He crushed this delicate flower.
not even a petal remained.
but God remembered the promise
and sent him where he now stays.

He lives in his own torment
with the vision of the flower
floating not far away.
