Life happens and what we do with our lives does matter

We are connected in the mist of so much useless chatter

A youth who dies while experimenting on drugs can cause so much strife

One mistake can effect family and friends deeply, sometimes even for life

Her little brother learns the wrong way, following her path and he goes astray

Her friends wonder if they are next, one overdoses the other finds a better way

The dad works harder to get the sad memory off of his mind but to no avail

Mother has so much pain that she stays up many nights, looking tired and frail

Like fruit on a vine, we are connected; what one does matters so very much

So let’s share the Fruit of the Spirit and we may save a life by a loving touch
