Jack was a dear neighbor and friend who truly loved to talk

He would routinely take his poodle out for a daily walk

But Jack had a most unusual personality

He would love to surprise people you see

I recall when he washed our neighbor’s cars once upon a time

He did it as a silent gift to folks, without charging them a dime

It was not unusual for Jack to tell a historical story or a tall tale

He talked about his life as a pilot and famous people he knew so well

Whether the story was true or not, it did not matter nor did I care to know

If it was a story told by Jack, it was great one; as his friend, I ought to know

But the best story was true and so cool about how he and Peggy met way back when

They were high school sweethearts and fifty years later they met once again!

Peggy and Jack changed very much throughout all the years of their life

They loved each other so after fifty years Jack asked Peggy to be his wife

They were like kids again as they traveled around town in their convertible automobile

It was a good time for Peggy and Jack as they came back to life, with a love that was real.

We will miss you my friend.
