Eat this, don't eat that!
Only eat fat free- foods!
Wait, your body needs fat!
What to do, what should we eat?
Have some dark chocolate
Now that's quite a treat!!
That's until you read about sugar
Then what wine does to your liver
So how did old grandpa live past ninety?
He did not have all this information in his ear
Too much of anything is not really good
That's what mother says, and that's what I hear!
All the rest of the advice can change tomorrow.
That is all that's certain!
So let's eat, drink and enjoy!
But not too much....
For tommorow it's curtains!
Your poem takes the common sense route of moderation. It also helps to have a regimen of good exercise, plenty of sleep and low stress. Those three are hard to come by in our fractured lifestyles, at least until we are retired.
I had to change my diet at 20. Partly because of my budget. Partly because of my sedimentary lifestyle. And partly because the way I grew up eating my mother's fabulous food was going to put me in her shoes at retirement age. So, in spite of occasional indulgence like the recent Thanksgiving binge, I remain healthy against all odds.

no matter what you do,
you're still going to die.
So enjoy yourself,
before it's time to say bye bye.
Love ya!
