You are right my friend, many do ask...many recieve...and many forget from where their answers come from. Your write serves as a great reminder to be thankful for all that we are given daily, shelter, family, food, love, breath, life! But also to remember from where the answers to those special prayers come from...those when our family might be sick, or when danger is shielded from our children, or the unexpected finances are taken care of...much of our society has become selfish and self absorbed. What a great reminder to stay humble and thankful! Enjoyed this very much my friend, so much said in a few words, just what a great haiku should do...make you think!

Those that don't fall shy of this, will always stand out in a crowd. Have you ever noticed that? Their eyes shine brighter, their smile is infectious...we are attracted to gratitude but fall short on a daily basis!

Hi Georg,
Well, this is certainly something to think about, as I guess I'm guilty of this same thing. Sometimes I've prayed, received what I prayed for and got caught up in the excitement. It could sometimes be up to 2 weeks later that I realized that I forgot to thank Our Good Lord for what he gave me. Then the guilt sets in...how could I have forgotten to thank Him??? How stupid I felt...and how ashamed. Then I pray with all my heart and apologies.
