Imagination, the picture of gold nuggets drive the miners up the creek, or an indian brave to search for the love of two different woman that only could mean trouble inside his teepee.

Poem Artwork

Medicine man told three moons ago
that my pony’s road will fork in two,
one going to squaw with head on fire
where magnolias are hiding the Cajun,
the other to a Cherokee rattlesnake,
little, but that kills without a sound?

He said that before long on my journey
my first encounter will be without doubt
with Lakota tribe or he did said Dakota?
tomatos-tomatoes better no go look.

I found that we aren’t different if you take
with a mad wasp inside his head Chippewa,
he wouldn’t be different that him running
in front of buffalo stampeding Kiowa.

Or, if you are good for fun and games
steal some horses from a sleeping Comanche,
make a lot of noise so he can come out and see
your sorry self with the war paint of the Cree.

Am dreaming riding on my pony like Choctaw
dreams of conquering mountains and prairie,
he should encounter the very opposing Arawak,
while I get on dreaming with Belle Rouge on fire,
then, that little Cherokee rattlesnake will meddle
until all three play so much that we end smiling.

South, going south all the way to that road fork
I hope I don’t meet a party of young Navaho,
Sioux don’t mix with that kind of crazy bunch,
nor I wish to say hello to wandering Arapaho.

Medicine man make dizzy brave with no potion,
Just telling him about the Paiute, Seneca, Pima,
tribes all around, wherever wind are blowing,
over Nez Perce, Shoshone, Cheyenne or Yakima.

Maybe he forgot mention Black Foot and Mohave
because he didn’t mention they like go to war,
that was said by a beaten an on foot Osage
that all he wanted was to be left halting alone.

Funny people those indians, no like the Sioux,
follow strong idea in my head with our horse,
thinking of a Belle Rouge red head that’s on fire
and a hot little rattlesnake Southern Comfort,
I hope they are waiting at the crossroad, ‘cause,
am riding down and already am licking my chops.

This Choctaw Maiden is just a little farther and worth the extra ride. Choctaw Princess, grand daughter of Chief of entire Choctaw Nation and you don't want to play with me! No Fire on Head, or Lil' Rattlesnake but Lacy Things is this Choctaw's name!

This is a great piece Georg
Most enjoyable reading
Humor at it's best
But you failed to mention the Famous
Staten Island Indians from the southern sector of New York
"The Fukawees" who were well known for their trade mark stance
Holding their hand palm facing down, over their brawls
as they stared into the distant horizon saying
"Where The "F" are we"
Peace brother

Now you've done it, Brother Edvard. My wife just read this, and she's Apache, and you didn't mention them - Yikes! She may go on the War Path now, and you thought the Battle of Eds was tough!

You do look good in that old photo, though!
