Secrets, God told me not to reveal them, but never said that I couldn't tell anyone I had them...

Poem Artwork

I have a box to hide all of my secrets,
and it is almost fullest to the brim
despite of it not having any bottom
it was the Lord that gave it to me.

He said, “son, a long life, most alone,
is the life that to you I will give,
pain and smiles, thorns and caresses
throughout your existence will feel…”

“But” He added, “known to no one,
secrets, painful secrets collect you will,
and this box is for keep all of them,
secrets that you will disclose only to Me.”

He put the box on my trembling hands,
without a bottom, empty forever was it,
He was giving me a very long life He said,
as long as I needed for the box to fill.

Oh, so many secrets inside the stone heart,
secrets that I can’t tell, they are for Him,
only can say, there aren’t smiles or caresses,
but many pains and thorns and pessimism.

I have a box to hide all of my secrets,
collected one by one as long as I lived,
as He gave me that box, in return,
gave Him another one so He could
to put inside, His final gift.

Nice work, Georg...to have a relationship with God is to know Love...to be gifted with His ever encouragement is to have Faith...to have secrets within is to know He is ...Forgiving...and He is ever so...

Truly nice work...

Striking the womb of hierologic history... "God's Box of Secrets" has released the picture of fire's revelation... Mytheological (Mythology and Theology) grand.

In reverent admiration,

The depth of the spirituality in this poem fills my sinful heart with joy. It is nice to have a bottomless box - that way all the hearts and pains don't stick to the heart, nor do the horrible secrets we all have kept from others. This is a perfect poem for a Sunday - when our hearts and minds should focus on Him.

God bless you, my friend. Kathy

Your gift of everlasting life is well portrayed by your box with no bottom as a brilliant metaphor! He will fill it with many blessings because you honor Him!

As I sat here reading my inner ears were still at sea and the screen started rocking.
"Secrets" is a fine example of enegmatic verse, liked it much.

Georg, wonderful pen...it did remind me though of that old song "It is no secret...his eye is on the sparrow and I know he watches me."

I think the longer we live, brother, the more of those above we all seem to collect. But I for one, am wishing you more smiles and caresses. (From me, a manly brotherly hug, of course!)
