This was inspired by a dear friend here in AD coming to know that a friend, after many triple-bypass operations was given months or weeks left by the doctors that couldn't do anymore.
To that sick friend, a few words...

Poem Artwork

Sitting by the window with sadness
looking out at a beautiful world
that it didn’t seems to be yesterday
didn’t knew then what now you know,
that the last pages of your calendar
are getting few, time’s running out.

Remember all those late mornings
trying to sleep just a little bit more,
but the chirping of many early birds
where out there and you felt annoyed,
but now all its different, still singing,
now, at last they have your love.

What friends will say, will remember
after a while, after you are gone?
or emotional dust will settle over
the closed book of your life, done,
and it will be the search of another,
one telling about living and smiles
not of pain a reminding booster.

But yes, dear little friend, fear not,
you will be remembered forever
as a dear friend that never faltered
and the one of all letters the achiever,
regret, our hearts will painfully feel…
but, knowing you, made us much better.

When I first came to AD I was attracted by the family feel.
Now I understand it and feel it myself.
My heart hurts, too.

Such a loving warm tribute Georg! I've had two by-pass surgeries 10 years apart, last one in 2000. My thoughts and prayers go to your friend and you Georg, for your compassion...

It is difficult to start saying 'adios.' Yet, people need to hear how much they are loved. For this dear friend at AD,
"May His love lighten your load.
May friends share your journy.
May all your days be ones filled with memories.
May you know that you filled our lives with pleasure through your writings.
May you know peace."

God bless you Georg and our Friend. Kathy

Georg, This is a blessing in a way, at least you can tell this friend how you feel and how much they mean to you before it's too late..How many times have we said, "If only I had called or visited before they passed", now you have had that chance and you will not say If only...
Much peace, love, and light,
Amber "Vivianna"
