I am so tired to turn the other cheek, and not to use retribution to a pointed elbow on my ribs, or the fat one not looking where he goes and walking over my foot, or to say Ok with a smile after been the victim of a foul tackling...fair-play, which schmuck you say came with that harebrined idea?

Poem Artwork

Fair play is very overrated,
I will tell you way,
Mother-in-laws flying brooms
and you can’t have
the right to shot her down,
not even playfully
smack her with a big rock.

Cats on the midnight fences
by gracious orders
are all so out of bounds,
you can’t shoos
or throw one shoe of two,
or the SPCA faster
than lightning will fall on you.

Have a three days headache
feeling tormented bad,
and your neighbor’s happy dog
wouldn’t stop yapping
to let you sleep and forget it all,
you wondering then
of you two, who should get shot?

Birds on window chirping away
fluffing their feathers
making a racket out of this world,
fly away little friends
winter still here and I am so cold
trying to sleep summer in
to warm but good, all of my bones.

Don’t try to see if there’s “Luck”
and I will tell why,
there’s no reason, that’s because,
soup will be raining
and you will be holding a fork,
Fortune is a bitch and,
you will never be, one of her sons

Yes Life’s Fair Play is overrated,
if you follow the rules
you will be kicked very hard in the groin,
Queen Rules? Gone, past,
dudes in drags have take it for their Law,
next time you throw a shoe,
please don’t aim it a me, go for the dog.

...how does one play fair...as if it were a board game...when I hear all that you say in these words...and know within my own heart...that I feel every one of them at times...in silence.
I thank you for your human and honest words Georg...
