Sandra Cecilia died 01.06.2007, in a freak car accident she was driving, she was my daughter.
Parents aren't supposed to see their children go, it is not the way it should be.
Our children are supposed to take care of us on our older days, when disoriented we can't find our bearings and they use love to gently herd us into the security of their fold.
Can’t believe that two years had already passed by.
She wasn't only my daughter, she was my friend and the one I got in trouble with when plucking neighbor's apples.
Born in the year 1963.
She was my little pal.

Someone said that you couldn’t
possible lose a thing you never had,
but that in the end certainly will
the most precious thing in you life,
because fate will take all of it away
if “it” was the cause of your smile.

I know that all fathers without knowing
chose a favorite among, his little pal,
despite your shaking heads and disapproval
when saying “It’s not right…it’s not right…
…to chose among the children’s flock
and pick of them a preferred one”.

But you see, remembering Sandra Cecilia
shining mischievous eyes is all I ever had,
to help me through a typhoon in China’s sea
or in muddy fox-holes in monsoon Vietnam;
when searching for comfort in a solitary world
I wrote my children’s names…in the sand.

…yet, from now on, despite how much love
to the other children a father may have,
the emptiness will be there, because it will
be not more of her shinning mischievous eyes
that could share an all funny little secret
between a father…and his Little Pal.

Now you are together again in God's shining light. Bless you Georg for leaving your legacy of words that even now touch and heal the wounded hearts, and bring smiles and tears to us still.

This for sure is a heavy hearted write. Your loss is one of the hardest to bare I can only imagine. When loved ones pass, it changes us into serious, sullen, vulnerable beings. You have my compassion. You are surely not alone.

A very heart wretching, soul searching work my friend....one is left to reflect upon the deep emotional impact of your words...we as humans are but to be a minute part of this world...sadly we can only feel a portion of joy and then we must either leave or loose the precious love that we knowingly accept...

I feel for you my friend and can only send you my deepest thoughts of peace and love for you and your family.

May you be blessed when you meet with her among the clouds of Heaven...

Your friend...

I am so sorry for what you are going through Georg, for you are right a parent should never have to face losing a child as we expect them to be there long after we are gone. Know your daughter, your little pal is in Heaven looking down through the window up above as she watches over you, her dad & best friend.

Newfie Hugs are with you, Rose

Georg,
Comfort to you and your baby angel will be with you..Forever!
If not in the flesh, then in the heart to comfort and give you strength when you need it. I cannot say I know your loss..but I do know you suffer each day and the angels will hug you when you need it!

Has it been two years already? The emotions never seem to change, even with time, only returns in a furious flood and then to relive it all over again. So much love written in these lines, yet so much pain is there too. I am so sorry.....

Be always safe,
Karen

Georg This poem brought many tears to this eyes as the
Memories flooded back of the child I lost
It’s not that we chose a favor
It’s that as a father or a mother
We tent to love our children all equally the same
But each one different
Because they all have a personality of their own
And different in character
One may be more insecure or may need more attention
And a friend within the parent
Or as you say in your poem
A little pal and
Sandra Cecilia
Is angel and angels never die thy live in the heart for ever
And Sandra Cecilia is living in yours
And she is looking out for you from the heaven!!
Peace Love and Light…and hugsss....Morning Star

Georg, the picture and poem are so beautiful, that the sorrow
seems out of context! Yet, the loss is enormous, and will always
leave an empty space in you that can never be filled. I have lost a son,and know this from experience! my heart goes out to you,I share your feelings!

Damn it, Georg: you've made me cry! Oh, this is so heartbreakingly sad! I am so sorry you went through this; you are in my prayers today (and always)! May God give you the strength you need to get through this sad day; may He give you the peace, comfort that passes all understanding! No, a parent should NEVER outlive their children; it goes against the grand scheme of things! Powerfully penned; well done!

(((HUGS))) and much love, your friend in America, Karen Lynn in Texas. :( >tears! <

Georg I can hardly see the screen through my blurry tear filled eyes. My heart feels like a knive has been poked through it for with every word and line of this write I pictured the torture I would go through if I were to lose my own little Pal...Wanda. Manly or not my heart goes out to you and your painful loss of such an angel.

poignant, Georg. You make me miss her too. She reminds me of my impish grandmother--the only grandparent I had--but she made up for it with her personality-- slight of build, graceful and very lady-like, yet underneath it all, she was full of pixie dust. --Charlie

Such a sad and crying memory/poem, Georg, but your little pal was there for you when it counted. Some people may shake their heads and say it is not fair to choose a favorite child. But, we are human and we always choose our favorites. In your choice of a little pal, you gave her an abundance of special love which made up for the shortness of her life. So, there is a balance :-)
