Don't know about around you, but we don't need no crystal ball to look at the pathetic year that's crawling out with a New Year that ain't coming out, no Sir no Bob! he saw old Santa going by poorer than churches mouses and 2010 ain't no sleeping under no bridge!
Merry Christmas! Merry Christmas!
said the dude from the Savings Bank
he really was one jolly weird fellow
hammering down the foreclosure sign
wearing his chubby unconcerned face
with the mother of all the smiles,
perhaps thinking on a very fatty bonus
as he was greeting the passers by.
It’s gonna be a heck of a year, believe me,
something to be remembered our 2009,
the year when all the bailed out got together
and kicked old poor Santa from his house,
and, with the reindeer confiscated by IRS,
pink swine with lipstick learning how to fly,
the turkey now don’t need to run for cover
cos the supplying company has cut the gas!
Santa’s Christmas tree is a pitiful skinny limb
showing no leaves but a sickly color brown,
after being retrieved from a bulging dumpster
it will be at least some kind of Xmas rack,
where a few decors salvaged from repossession
with paper angels Mrs. Claus could hang,
hurry hurry home, now under that iron bridge,
cos, many children are expecting you tonight!
INTERESTING AND WOULD BE SO SAD...IF...IT WERE TRUE. THANKS FOR SHARING AND MAY YOU AND YOURS HAVE A VERY HAPPY NEW YEARS...SAFE IN HIS BLESSED ARMS. JOYCE * HIS INSPIRATIONS

Poor Santa. Been a rough year all around. Leading indicators were up though. Maybe next year will be better. Take care and all the best!
Georg although this was wrote tongue in cheek it really affected me...I could almost believe you wrote it for old Santa Fee for after actually having my house foreclosed on last year, going bankrupt and then two weeks before the big day on the way home from being Santa the trannie went in my car...the leap is pretty small from me to your poem....

Your wit is amazing but we are all too close to this sad scene. We want to hope, we must still hope but it grows more difficult each day. Well penned Georg
