Wonderful personal stuff, which we've all known to a degree, for whatever reason. Losing a love, an intense and deep love, is like no other human experience. You treat the tragedy with the painful helplessness awaiting any victim. Such suffering makes us stronger and smarter to go on with life... as you very well know how to do.
