As some of you know I am working on a second book of poetry which will be titled Breath of the Bayou. It is subtitled 'Reflections in Verse'. This piece is the final piece of poetry to be placed into this book. It is a project I am very proud of!

Reflections In quiet musing I stand at water's edge, breathing deeply of its musty scent, its pungent expression of life and death. This is my home, my heritage, my rippled comfort in times of need. It is who I am and it pulses though me as blood in a vein. It feeds my soul and quenches my thirsty spirit. It is my sunrise of new beginnings and my sunset slipping into the next lifetime. It is a song of mystery and a portrait of revealed secrets. It is my reflection in verse. It is my destiny. It is my bayou. December 2007
