Something a bit on the steamy side to ring in the new year...))
Indigo Songs
~~The Quiet~~
She watches him
In soap-scented steam
Shaving naked before the mirror
And her eyes, they smolder
Between reflections of hands,
Of arms and chest,
As muscles play
Beneath dampened skin,
Gaze lingering upon back and legs.
She responds in the quiet heat
With a blush and liquid rush
And a need grows....
A need to dance.
~~The Music Plays~~
He watches her...
Misty reflection clothed in indigo silk,
Moisture laden fabric
Molded to breasts and thighs.
A succulent vision of soft sensuality,
She stirs him like no other
And when her eyes close
He too feels the need...
Hears the music
As only they play it.
A whisper of breath, a shiver
Of anticipation, he steps behind her.
She waits to feel his arms,
His work-roughened hands
Cupping her fullness, his thumbs
Arousing their greeting with tender strokes.
How perfectly she fits
Beneath his chin, his broad chest
Warm, still damp, and within,
His heart beats with passion's cadence.
He plays her like a violin, caressing
Her, a waltz of erotic intent begins
As he seeks the heat of her womanhood,
The essence of her desire,
The iridescent pearl of surrender..
He hears her indigo song
And he whispers...'shall we dance, love?'
~~The Calm~~
In tangled afterglow they lay
Listening, love's crescendo fading
Into sighs of contentment.
Tremors, quivering chords
Of ecstasy's music, still
Steal the breath and embrace
His strength... breaths touch,
Lingering in arias of heart music
Playing on and on....
And into dreams
Of indigo songs they dance...
Together.
mercy me! Now I know why the weather patterns have been odd! The heat and steam of this is enough to do so easily! Splendid flow of sensuality and erotica in this dear lady...exceptional work!

There is enough steam here to make the wallpaper come unglued and fall on the floor! I love this write Myrna, the way you create the scene and mind pictures with your words is quite stimulating! Such romantic passion and heat generated through your words is always a pleasure to read. I wish you a safe and Happy New Year!

All this from the Myrna who blushes after using the word sexy in a comment? Myrna, this is the "crescendo" of sublime romance and I am proud to have had the opportunity to peek almost as if I were intruding on your privacy. I think I'll invest in something Indigo...although I'm told crimson becomes me...might be a worthwhile switch...hmmmmmmm!
Whoa...you have a very nicely written piece of the sensual and exotic moments when two grasp upon each other and become one within love and time...really nice work here Myrna...
Wishing You and Family a Very Happy and Prosperous New Year!!!
There was much steam and hard breathing, I missed part of the show.
I'll get back to you later on this highly stimulating poem.
Meanwhile, please know that it is now, one of my favortites .
You shouldn't be so unkind to male readers of your gentle poetry.
We forgive you.

Wonderful write,
This is sensual writing and sensual feeling at it's best, bringing the reader like a voyeur into the bedroom to watch breathless as this dance of love is played out. Beautiful work here Myrna, left me wiping the beads of sweat from my brow...
