Another in my tumbling tercet collection, this one is inspired by a question my granddaughter asked me about where flowers go when they die.

Time's Apron nature gathers her treasures into time's apron... the fallen leaves of autumn, crumpled and tattered in faded brilliance... curled browned petals of once pristine magnolia still clinging to lemon-scented springtime and sweet gardenia, dried souvenirs of waning summers... shredded bits of green, clippings from weekend mowings, and strands of moss, blown from lofty trees... and like a mother she weeps for memories gathered, keeping them safe within time's apron until they must be scattered upon coming seasons ...to become new souvenirs 2007

oh my...I remember talking to you about this piece but hearing it and reading it is two different things. This is an incredibly beautiful write Myrna...both in those lovely tercets you employ and theme.

Your words flow as does your heart and senses in a logical explanation of where flowers go when they are no more. You bring and sustain life to bloomings long since gone, and your words do it with such beauty. A timely lesson of time and flowers.
