Mind was oppressed with troubles.
Never admitting it could ever break down,
Mind chose instead to stave off all the
Impediments and negativity that
Were circling like vultures.
Acceding, rather, to aspiration,
Mind promised - crossing its heart and swearing –
That all responsibilities would be realized
In a most timely fashion;
Knowing full well it was already on a
Beach basking in warm sun,
Sipping Glenfidditch,
And mulling another day away
