Poem Artwork
That evening,
alone and at peace,
I began discerning, as
I strolled, just distant in
the meadows, a faint shape
in a wash of shadows.
.
'Come closer,' a voice whispered,
'and I will show you a soul’s beauty.'
.
Intrigued, I drew nearer, and as I did,
a beatific form appeared and began
a casual adagio from arabesque.
In wonderment I stared,
wide-eyed, as
my mind marveled at
the possibilities of what the
unfolding moments might reveal.
.
En dehors, the woman
cupped her breasts,
smiled,
and then,
with a sudden
and magnificent jete,
she began to pirouette
beneath the night sky. Ardently,
as pearly moonlight filtered through
thinning clouds, the willowy motions of
sketching fingers composed an opus upon
the ashen incandescence heightening her features.
.
Gracefully,
she flitted upon
whispering breezes,
in lyrical-loftiness, twirling
to the silent symphonies of
celestial equators… lithely,
across the meadows, face
aglow in lambent
moonlight;
she etched her
passions in sweet
abandon, as a wash
of movement merged into
fluidly unrestrained expression.
.
Enthralled, I stared,
(from one moment to
the next) as she became for
me a light through diamonds;
a mesmerizing vision radiant in
shimmering moonlight. In mute
enchantment I felt myself,
yielding to the clarity,
straining for the
splendor, as
she pillared me
in tender empathy,
and took my creative mind
to places never before dreamed…
~ ~ ~
A sudden clamorous
alarm jolted me awake.
Blearily I sat up, in a daze,
stunned how real it’d been,
angry for having been
snatched so rudely
from something
so marvelous,
and now so
keenly anxious
to return to what
was only a faint haze…
Alas… another workday had arrived.

Hello Richard Cederberg: This is a very nice picture, to introduce this marvelous "Poetiprose" . WOW! It hits my spiritual-eye with not only a spectacular-view, but energizing lyric-moving makes me feel like I am traveling with you...in your hope-happy-meadow-dream.It leaves me with the feeling of Peace, that almost takes my breath-away. I think that I will call you: "the music man". great poem that moves the eye(s),heart(s), and the mind(s). "In the Meadows...". This is so well-orchestrated...it "dances" into the heart. So well done...my friend. Thanks for feeding my imagination, with some WONDERFILLED ... food for thought. Write on!...brother...right-on!

A wonderful poetic dream! I sometimes have dreams that continue from one night until the next. It's like I live in another world when the lights go out. Amazing! Well done Richard!

You have a flair for writing on just about any subject. I have enjoyed this tender side of you, and your visions are a prelude to your desires and wishes. May you never stop scribing the beauty with your heart wide open Richard, you cannot go wrong. Thank you

The photo is so appropriate for the vision. And what a vision it was! The kind of manly wishful thinking that comes sometimes into our dreams. Flirting with our emotions and drawing us in like light in the night for a Luna moth, at first what I thought your vision was coming to.

But there's nothing like a workday alarm to jolt us out of a wonderful dream like this. Few can write about it with the flourish that you have, and I appreciate that.
