If you make sense out of this you are really smarter than I am. I'm just having a little fun!

A Contradiction in Terms?

Sometimes I really do believe that all of life is a contradiction.

A day may come when nothing seems to move itself in the right direction.

For instance, yesterday was really mystifying, perplexing and bewildering.

Everything seemed to go right for me.  It was really quite rewarding.

However, the day before I tripped and fell uphill and couldn’t stop.

It was a comical fall and I bumped my head when I hit the top.

To make matters more grave and add to the somber ordeal

The people around me applauded and a producer wanted to make a deal.

“Do that daily in my circus each day,” he said.

I will pay you a thousand Dollars each day until you are dead.

I found the humorless deal to be quite provoking and was confused.

He simply looked on at me for he was quite amused.

“This is a grave situation,” he said with a grin.

“If they were giving prizes for this, I am sure you would win.”

I accepted his deal for it seemed to be dangerous.

To add to the frustration I found it downright riotous.

So if you will excuse me it is almost time for the show.

I have to fall uphill just one more time, so wish me luck.

Here I go!

An up hill fall, why not Lew, of course a down hill fall sounds better, either way it made a good poetic story, I guess if you can trip on flat land, falling up hill is possible, cheers

Life is a contradiction. Have fun with the fall.
